The 150th Anniversary of “Vande Mataram” was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Sir Chhotu Ram Government College for Women, Sampla. The programme aimed to remind students of the values of sacrifice, unity, and love for the motherland.
Programme Highlights:
1. Vande Mataram Song:
The event began with the soulful rendition of the National Song “Vande Mataram”, sung by the college choir. The entire hall resonated with patriotic emotions as everyone stood in respect.
2. Live Speech of the Hon’ble Prime Minister:
The students and staff witnessed the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address, delivered on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. In his speech, the Prime Minister spoke about the historical importance of the song, its role in India’s freedom struggle, and the responsibility of today’s youth to build a strong and self-reliant nation. His words filled the audience with motivation and national pride.
3. Documentary on Surgical Strike:
A documentary film on India’s 2016 Surgical Strike was shown, showcasing the courage and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces. The film reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our soldiers for the safety and honour of the nation.
Principal Ma’am Dr.Santosh Hooda addressed the gathering and spoke about the historical importance of Vande Mataram. She inspired the students to stay devoted to the nation and uphold the values of courage, truth, and sacrifice that the song represents.
4. Pledge Ceremony:
The celebration concluded with a pledge to uphold the ideals of unity, integrity, and patriotism. All teachers and students took the oath to serve the nation with honesty and devotion.
